Menstruation is a taboo in many communities of Nepal. Due to this, the topic is not openly discussed especially among adolescent girls who may only know about it during their first menstruation cycle. “Hamro Samaya” (Our Time) is a radio drama that talks about the first menstrual experience of a young girl, the challenges adolescent girls like her have to go through and social campaigns young girls can initiate. The radio drama is airing from Radio Sindhu 105, Sindhu FM 102.8, Radio Jugal 98.1, and Radio Mission 105.3 every Friday at 7:15 pm for three weeks since 29 January 2021. In the fourth week, there will be an interaction program with the girls on the topic of menstruation. The program repeats every Saturday at 6:30 am.
